CVSS v3.1 |
OWASP Coraza WAF is a golang modsecurity compatible web application firewall library. From 3.0.0 until 3.8.0, the multipart loop in internal/bodyprocessors/multipart.go executes defer temp.Close() for every uploaded file part, so each temporary-file descriptor remains open until the complete request returns. An unauthenticated attacker can submit a multipart body containing many minimal file parts and exhaust the process file-descriptor table within the request-body size limit, causing os.CreateTemp failures, MULTIPART_STRICT_ERROR responses, blocked legitimate uploads, and process-wide inability to open files or sockets. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0.
pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev101, the API `rpc` function in `api_blueprint.py` handles `multipart/form-data` uploads by reading the whole content of the uploaded file into memory with `file.read()`. This occurs before the data is sent to the underlying function. Since there is no size limit set at this point, a large file upload can exhaust the server's available memory which led to process termination. Version 0.5.0b3.dev101 contains a patch.
A malicious HTTP/2 peer can cause excessive CPU consumption in the client or server by opening a large number of streams and then sending many small SETTINGS frames containing SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE values.
Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From 2.5.0 until 2.6.0, the node-signature authentication path performs temporary file staging of an attacker-controlled request body and synchronizes it before validating the body digest and cryptographic signature. An unauthenticated remote client that can reach the API and provide syntactically valid signature metadata can consume temporary filesystem capacity, disk input and output, and request-processing resources before rejection. The issue affects availability and does not bypass authentication or provide confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.0.
Vulnerability in the Oracle Demand Signal Repository product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Demand Signal Repository. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Demand Signal Repository accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Demand Signal Repository. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.1 (Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H).
Multiple ECH outer extension references are not permitted under RFC 9849; previously, a client could send a well-crafted packet that could trigger memory exhaustion in the server process by specifying multiple references. We now reject these as malformed and curb the memory amplification vector as a result.
When "Trailer" headers are sent by a client, the HTTP server internally uses the header values to populate the Request.Trailer map passed to the server handler. Because Request.Trailer is a map, each entry incurs memory overhead. For HTTP/2 servers, a malicious client can exploit this by sending a "Trailer" header that declares a large number of fields, causing the server to allocate a disproportionate amount of memory while bypassing Server.MaxHeaderValueCount and Server.MaxHeaderBytes limits. This exploit is not applicable for HTTP/1 servers, which do not support multiplexing a large number of requests over one TCP connection, and whose Server.MaxHeaderBytes are calculated differently.
music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. In the public development revision introduced after 11.14.0, a development-branch regression in the MP4 stsd sample-description parser allows an attacker-controlled sample-entry size of zero to prevent the StsdAtom.get cursor from advancing while an attacker-controlled entry_count keeps the synchronous loop running. A crafted MP4-family input can block the Node.js event loop and grow the sample-description table until the process is terminated or exhausts memory. The vulnerable change was present on the public master branch but was not included in music-metadata 11.14.0 or any earlier npm release, and version 11.16.0 contains the fix. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0.
Pydantic AI is a Python agent framework for building applications and workflows with Generative AI. From 1.77.0 until 1.107.2 and 2.24.0, web_fetch_tool, the WebFetch local fallback, and remote FileUrl media downloads buffer the complete HTTP response body before enforcing content-size controls. An attacker-influenced URL can stream an arbitrarily large response that exhausts process memory and crashes the worker; affected media types include ImageUrl, DocumentUrl, VideoUrl, and AudioUrl. SSRF protections remain effective, and the impact is limited to availability. This issue is fixed in versions 1.107.2 and 2.24.0.

A security flaw has been discovered in vllm-project vLLM up to 0.31.0. This impacts the function get_token_bin_counts_and_mask of the file vllm/model_executor/layers/utils.py of the component Penalty Handler. Performing a manipulation results in denial of service. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
| In Apache CXF, the parser for multipart/MTOM attachment part headers did not fully enforce the configured attachment-max-header-size (default 300 characters) and attachment-headers-max-count (default 500) limits. The size limit was applied only to each physical line, not to a header value built from continuation lines or to the combined values of a repeated header. The count limit was checked against the number of distinct header names, not the total number of header lines. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could send a multipart request with very large folded or repeated part headers. The server would then allocate memory without bound, causing a denial of service.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue. |
A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a complete LDAP operation followed by the first bytes of an incomplete LDAPMessage on the same connection, causing the server to hand that connection to a second worker thread before the first worker's result is flushed. The second worker blocks until nsslapd-ioblocktimeout while holding the connection mutex, preventing delivery of the completed operation's result. Repeating this across a small number of connections proportional to the configured worker-thread pool size exhausts the entire pool under default configuration, denying service to all clients (anonymous and authenticated, plaintext and TLS) for as long as the attacker maintains the connections.
The `github.com/moby/sys/user` package provides Go utilities for parsing and looking up entries in Unix-style user and group database files. Versions before 0.4.1 do not sufficiently limit entries when parsing `/etc/passwd`- or `/etc/group`-style files, allowing an attacker who can supply a specially crafted file to cause excessive memory consumption and potentially terminate the affected process due to an out-of-memory condition. This issue is patched in version 0.4.1. As a workaround, avoid parsing attacker-controlled user or group database files, or validate and limit untrusted input before parsing it.
msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, the streaming decoder reparses an incomplete array or map from the beginning whenever another chunk arrives. A remote peer can split one valid MessagePack container across many small chunks, causing completed elements to be decoded repeatedly, producing quadratic CPU use and blocking the event loop. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0.
Mozilla's Node-convict (version 6.2.2 and later) is vulnerable to a Denial of Service vulnerability caused by incomplete prototype‑pollution protections in config.set(). An attacker controlling the configuration key can write arbitrary properties to constructor.<key>, which walk() resolves to the global Object function. This allows overwriting core JavaScript methods such as Object.assign, leading to persistent process-wide failures and requiring a restart. The issue bypasses existing filters that only block constructor.prototype.* and __proto__.*. Exploitation requires an endpoint that forwards attacker-controlled keys into config.set().
