CVE-2026-19878 1 Ibm 4 Security Verify Access, Security Verify Access Container, Verify Identity Access and 1 more 2026-10-09 6.5 Medium
IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass additional authentication workflow steps.
CVE-2026-19575 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-09 7.8 High
The user-mode verification handler for the device_deinit() system call, z_vrfy_device_deinit() in kernel/device.c, validated its dev argument with K_SYSCALL_OBJ_INIT(dev, K_OBJ_ANY). k_object_validate() short-circuits its type comparison when the requested type is K_OBJ_ANY, so the check reduced to "this pointer is the base address of some kernel object the calling thread has been granted" — the object's actual type was never compared, and K_SYSCALL_OBJ_INIT also skips the initialization-state check. The sibling handlers z_vrfy_device_init() and z_vrfy_device_is_ready() already used K_OBJ_DRIVER_ANY and were unaffected. A thread running in user mode can therefore pass any kernel object it holds permission on — most usefully a thread stack object obtained from the k_thread_stack_alloc() syscall or a statically defined K_THREAD_STACK it was granted in order to spawn a child user thread — whose backing memory is writable from user mode. z_impl_device_deinit() then interprets those attacker-written bytes as a struct device: it dereferences the state pointer read out of the object, calls the function pointer read out of ops.deinit, and on success writes through state again. The result is an indirect call to an arbitrary address executed in supervisor mode, plus an arbitrary kernel read and a single-byte kernel write. Exploitation gives a local unprivileged thread full kernel code execution, defeating the CONFIG_USERSPACE isolation boundary entirely; a less precise attempt yields a supervisor-mode fault and a system crash. The defect is only reachable in builds that enable both CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_DEVICE_DEINIT_SUPPORT — with de-initialization support disabled, z_impl_device_deinit() returns -ENOTSUP without ever dereferencing the pointer. In v4.2.x and v4.3.x, CONFIG_DEVICE_DEINIT_SUPPORT defaulted to y, so every CONFIG_USERSPACE build of those releases is exposed unless the option was explicitly turned off. From v4.4.0 the option is opt-in (no default, and not selected by any in-tree subsystem), so a v4.4.x build is exposed only if it enables the option explicitly. The v4.2 line is no longer maintained and receives no backport. The fix changes the object check to K_OBJ_DRIVER_ANY, which constrains the argument to the build-generated driver object type range (K_OBJ_DRIVER_FIRST..K_OBJ_DRIVER_LAST) — the real struct device instances placed by the linker — so the state and ops.deinit fields are once again kernel-controlled.
CVE-2026-106463 1 Backstage 2 Backstage, Plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab 2026-10-09 5.4 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.8.7, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab package is affected by improper authorization in gitlab organizational user ingestion. Deployments that enable GitLab organization event ingestion and rely on scoped catalog users as an access boundary may admit an unintended catalog identity. Depending on sign-in and permission configuration, this may allow unauthorized access with the permissions of a standard authenticated user. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.7.
CVE-2026-106446 1 Handlebarsjs 1 Handlebars 2026-10-09 9.8 Critical
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 4.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars.compile() and Handlebars.precompile() accept pre-parsed AST objects while validating only selected PathExpression, NumberLiteral, and BooleanLiteral values. This issue bypasses the AST validation introduced in version 4.7.9 for CVE-2026-33937. An attacker who can supply an object instead of a template string can place JavaScript expressions in unchecked values such as Program.blockParams.length, a non-PathExpression parameter depth, a non-string StringLiteral.value, or a non-string PathExpression.original. The compiler emits those values into generated JavaScript, causing code execution in the server process when compile output renders or wherever precompile output is loaded. Applications that pass only template strings are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.10.
CVE-2026-16111 1 Ibm 4 Datapower Gateway 1050, Datapower Gateway 1060, Datapower Gateway 106cd and 1 more 2026-10-09 7.5 High
IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0 through 10.5.0.22, 10.6.1 through 10.6.6, 10.6.0.0 through 10.6.0.10, and 11.0.0.0 through 11.0.0.2 could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service due to a type confusion flaw.
CVE-2026-107911 1 Falkordb 1 Falkordb 2026-10-09 7.5 High
A type confusion vulnerability in the _read_flags function (src/commands/cmd_dispatcher.c) in FalkorDB before 4.20.0 allows a remote authenticated attacker who can run GRAPH.QUERY to cause a denial of service and possibly disclose or corrupt memory. The function accepts a --bolt argument from any client and casts the following command argument, a Redis string object, to a Bolt client structure without checking its origin; the result-set code then dereferences pointers read from that object. The argument is parsed even when the Bolt endpoint is disabled, so default configurations are affected.
CVE-2026-106587 1 Openbsd 1 Openssh 2026-10-09 3.6 Low
In sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6, the value "none" for a configuration option is sometimes interpreted as a filename but was intended to mean that a feature is disabled.
CVE-2021-34866 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat 19 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 16 more 2026-10-08 7.8 High
This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Linux Kernel 5.14-rc3. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of eBPF programs. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied eBPF programs, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the kernel. Was ZDI-CAN-14689.
CVE-2021-33624 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-08 4.7 Medium
In kernel/bpf/verifier.c in the Linux kernel before 5.12.13, a branch can be mispredicted (e.g., because of type confusion) and consequently an unprivileged BPF program can read arbitrary memory locations via a side-channel attack, aka CID-9183671af6db.
CVE-2026-106433 1 Mongodb 1 Libmongocrypt 2026-10-08 8.8 High
Improper state management in MongoDB libmongocrypt can cause provider-specific data to be treated as an incompatible type when cleaning up a key document containing duplicate masterKey fields. An authenticated actor who can modify key vault documents, or a server that returns such a key document, can cause invalid memory access and invalid frees in the client process. This can terminate the application or corrupt process memory.
CVE-2026-98132 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: don't downgrade half-dead scalar zero spills to STACK_ZERO states.c:__clean_func_state() can downgrade scalar zero spill to STACK_ZERO in the following case: *(u64 *)(r10 - 8) = 0; ... checkpoint ... r1 = *(u32 *)(r10 - 4); ... no reads from r10-8 ... Here 4 bytes at r10-8 are dead and verifier changes scalar spill to a combination: 0000pppp (p stands for poison). Such a change breaks precision propagation chains. All places that produce STACK_ZERO should call bpf_mark_chain_precision() for the zero source. This patch fixes the bug in a simplest way possible: avoids converting stack spills of zero to STACK_ZERO. Two smarter approaches are possible: - do bpf_mark_chain_precision() from __clean_func_state() - check slot liveness information in check_stack_write_fixed_off() I investigated both and the changes required are a bit tricky, hence go with a simple fix for the time being.
CVE-2023-3079 4 Couchbase, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more 4 Couchbase Server, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more 2026-10-08 8.8 High
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 114.0.5735.110 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-104626 1 Gitea 1 Gitea 2026-10-07 8.8 High
A user who can open a fork pull request can place workflow content with a shared run-level concurrency group into a Gitea Actions run that is awaiting approval. When a later run in that group cancels the blocked job, the run becomes terminal while still marked as needing approval. If a maintainer later approves the run, Gitea passed the already-cancelled job back through concurrency preparation, set it to waiting, and made it claimable by a matching runner, executing fork-controlled workflow code. Exploitation requires the maintainer's later approval action, Actions to be enabled, and a runner that accepts the repository's jobs.
CVE-2026-58854 1 Google 1 Android 2026-10-07 7.8 High
In multiple locations, there is a possible memory corruption due to type confusion. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
CVE-2026-106240 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-07 8.8 High
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-106374 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-07 8.8 High
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low)
CVE-2026-106293 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-07 8.3 High
Type confusion in ANGLE in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-106101 1 Quasarframework 1 Quasar 2026-10-07 3.1 Low
Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to 2.32.2, the openURL() utility in ui/src/utils/open-url/open-url.js trusted window.SafariViewController whenever that global existed in an iOS environment. Attacker-controlled HTML rendered by components such as QEditor can create a named SafariViewController element, causing browser named-property resolution to replace the expected native bridge object. A later openURL() call then invokes isAvailable() on the element, throws a TypeError, and disrupts external navigation, login redirects, payment redirects, and other URL-opening workflows. QSelect and QChatMessage HTML-rendering configurations can expose the same trigger when they render attacker-controlled HTML. This issue is fixed in version 2.32.2.
CVE-2026-106341 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-07 8.8 High
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-88383 1 Libical 1 Libical 2026-10-06 6.2 Medium
libical 4.0.6 contains an incompatible function pointer in icalparameter_string_to_kind(). When parsing iCalendar data containing a parameterized property, the function passes icalparameter_compare_kind_map() to bsearch() through an incompatible comparator function pointer type. bsearch() invokes the callback through the mismatched type, resulting in undefined behavior and process termination, leading to denial of service.
