CVSS v3.1 |
| Ghostscript before 10.08.0 contains a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the JPEG 2000 output adapter (base/sjpx_openjpeg.c) that allows attackers to cause memory corruption by supplying a crafted PDF containing a JPEG 2000 image with mismatched component subsampling factors. When image components declare different subsampling values, the non-samescale sub-byte-depth output path allocates a row buffer sized for packed output but writes a full byte per output column regardless of bit depth, overflowing the allocation and corrupting internal chunk-allocator metadata to achieve code execution. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI/sysfs: Add CAP_SYS_ADMIN check to __resource_resize_store()
Currently, the __resource_resize_store() allows writing to the
resourceN_resize sysfs attribute to change a BAR's size without checking
for capabilities, currently relying only on the file access check.
Resizing a BAR modifies PCI device configuration and can disrupt active
drivers. After the upcoming conversion to static attributes, it will also
trigger resource file updates via sysfs_update_groups().
Add a CAP_SYS_ADMIN check to prevent unprivileged users from performing BAR
resize operations. |

| Buffer overflow in ANGLE in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |

| An issue was discovered in matio 1.5.28. A heap-based memory corruption can occur in Mat_VarCreateStruct() when the nfields value does not match the actual number of strings in the fields array. This leads to out-of-bounds reads and invalid memory frees during cleanup, potentially causing a segmentation fault or heap corruption. NOTE: Multiple third-parties note that the available evidence does not demonstrate a vulnerability exploitable through an attacker-controlled input path. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in rpm. RPMTAG_FILESIGNATURES in a crafted, unsigned RPM package's main header is declared with the wrong header type, causing hex2binv() to allocate a one-byte buffer and then write the tag's attacker-controlled, hex-decoded content — of attacker-chosen length — past the end of that allocation. This is reachable via rpm2cpio, rpm2archive, and rpm -qlvp on an untrusted package. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Buffer overflow in Video in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| TeamViewer Full Client and Host for Linux and macOS prior version 15.82 contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the processing of .tvs session recording files. A size mismatch during decompression of recorded session data can result in out-of-bounds heap writes. By convincing a user to open a specially crafted session recording through the "Play or convert recorded session…" feature, an attacker may achieve arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the current user |
| Buffer overflow in Tint in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's Paint Shop Pro (PSP) file format parser. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS) by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted PSP image file. The vulnerability occurs because the software incorrectly calculates buffer sizes when processing low bit-depth images, leading to an overwrite of adjacent memory. |
