CVE-2026-104045 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-09 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by exploiting a race condition in the autofs responder between asynchronous enumeration completion and map invalidation. By repeatedly sending concurrent map enumeration and invalidation requests, an attacker can cause memory to leak, leading to excessive memory consumption that can disrupt or crash the autofs service.
CVE-2026-80048 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-09 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in `sssd-kcm`. A local user or process able to connect to the `sssd-kcm` UNIX socket can exploit this vulnerability. By sending a large request length header and then stalling the connection, an attacker can cause the system to preallocate significant memory. This leads to memory exhaustion within the `sssd-kcm` responder, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected deployments.
CVE-2026-107168 2 M17n-lib, Redhat 2 M17n-lib, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 6.2 Medium
A flaw was found in m17n-lib. By providing crafted input containing an invalid UTF-8 character sequence, an attacker can cause the text parsing function to enter an infinite loop. This issue leads to sustained high CPU utilization, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected application.
CVE-2026-107170 2 M17n-lib, Redhat 2 M17n-lib, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 2.9 Low
A flaw was found in m17n-lib. A partial failure during library initialization can leave an internal driver pointer uninitialized. Under specific error conditions, such as system resource exhaustion or database corruption, an application attempting to open an input method dereferences this null pointer without proper validation. This issue causes the application to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-106065 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 6.3 Medium
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s PCX export plug-in. For images with extremely large width and height, buffer allocation uses overflowing 32-bit width * height arithmetic while subsequent GEGL operations use the full extent, after integer overflow in size calculation
CVE-2026-106066 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 6.3 Medium
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s raw data export plug-in. When exporting very large images, g_malloc() sizing based on overflowing width * height * bytes-per-pixel can allocate far less memory than GEGL reads or writes during export, following integer overflow
CVE-2026-106067 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 6.3 Medium
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s Hot color filter plug-in. For very large images, a pixel buffer is allocated using overflowing 32-bit width * height (and related) arithmetic while the filter’s pixel access path uses the true image size, after integer overflow in the allocation size
CVE-2026-107161 2 Cyrusimap, Redhat 6 Cyrus-sasl, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 3 more 2026-10-09 7.5 High
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in Cyrus SASL. The add_to_challenge() function in the DIGEST-MD5 plugin computes the size of the buffer needed for a challenge/response field before DIGEST-MD5 quoting is applied, but does not recompute that size when quoting (escaping special characters) makes the value longer. The under-sized buffer is then passed to strcat(), causing a heap-based out-of-bounds write whose size depends on attacker-controlled input. A malicious or on-path DIGEST-MD5 (or HTTP Digest) server can trigger this flaw in a connecting client by supplying a crafted challenge field, such as realm or nonce, most likely resulting in a crash of the client application.
CVE-2026-107565 2 Luksmeta, Redhat 4 Luksmeta, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more 2026-10-09 5.1 Medium
A flaw was found in luksmeta. A local attacker with administrative privileges can cause data corruption when saving metadata to a Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) device. Due to incorrect boundary calculations and flawed overlap detection, new metadata entries can be written beyond available free space or over existing records. This issue can corrupt stored encrypted payload data or existing metadata, potentially rendering the affected data inaccessible.
CVE-2026-107651 2 Eog, Redhat 2 Eog, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in Eye of GNOME (eog). A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the PNG metadata reader due to improper state handling when parsing split metadata chunks. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw by enticing a user into opening a specially crafted PNG file, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a Denial of Service (DoS) via application crash.
CVE-2025-6170 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 18 Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager, Discovery and 15 more 2026-10-09 2.5 Low
A flaw was found in the interactive shell of the xmllint command-line tool, used for parsing XML files. When a user inputs an overly long command, the program does not check the input size properly, which can cause it to crash. This issue might allow attackers to run harmful code in rare configurations without modern protections.
CVE-2026-58015 2 Gnome, Redhat 17 Glib, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 14 more 2026-10-09 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in GLib. The D-Bus client-side implementation of the DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 SASL authentication mechanism does not validate the cookie_context parameter received from the server. A malicious D-Bus server can supply a cookie_context containing path traversal sequences, causing the client to read an arbitrary file and exfiltrate sensitive data by verifying guessed file contents against a generated hash.
CVE-2026-58014 2 Gnome, Redhat 17 Glib, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 14 more 2026-10-09 7.3 High
A flaw was found in GLib. An off-by-one error can occur in the g_key_file_get_locale_string_list function in the gkeyfile.c file when loading a key file with an empty value. This flaw can cause an out-of-bounds access of 1 byte or a denial of service when the out-of-bounds access crosses a page boundary.
CVE-2026-72693 1 Redhat 5 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 2 more 2026-10-09 7.8 High
`openvt -u` is intended to identify the owner of the current VT and then execute `login` as that user from a privileged context. In the documented `kbrequest`/init usage, the ownership test in `authenticate_user()` relies on `stat("/proc/<pid>/fd/0")`. `stat()` on `/proc/<pid>/fd/0` follows the symlink to the underlying TTY device node. As a result, `buf.st_uid` reflects the owner of the TTY node rather than the owner of the process holding the file descriptor. If the TTY owner returns to `root` or the getty owner after logout while an unprivileged process still has `fd 0` attached to that TTY, the check can incorrectly treat that process as belonging to the privileged console owner. Once that check succeeds, the `-u` path executes a passwordless login as the selected user. In the documented `kbrequest`/init deployment using `openvt -us`, this can result in passwordless `login -f root` on the spawned VT. This report establishes that privilege escalation path for that documented deployment; it does not claim equivalent reachability for deployments that do not use `openvt -u` from a privileged `kbrequest`/init path.
CVE-2026-106061 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-09 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader. When GIMP generates a thumbnail for a crafted XMC file, it allocates a pixel buffer using a width * height size computed in 32-bit signed arithmetic. If that product overflows, the allocation is smaller than the true image extent. A subsequent GEGL buffer read uses the unwrapped dimensions and performs an out-of-bounds read on the heap, after integer overflow in the size calculation. This can crash GIMP or corrupt process memory.
CVE-2026-16118 1 Redhat 9 Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager, Cost Management On Premise and 6 more 2026-10-09 7.1 High
A flaw was found in xdgmime. A heap-based buffer overflow can be triggered in _xdg_mime_magic_parse_magic_line() in the xdgmimemagic.c file on little-endian systems when an attacker-controlled MIME magic file in a user-writable XDG data location (e.g., in the $XDG_DATA_HOME/mime/magic path) is parsed by an application performing MIME type detection (e.g., via g_content_type_guess()). When performing byte-swap, incorrect pointer arithmetic on the write side causes an out-of-bounds write of 2 bytes, resulting in an application crash or memory corruption.
CVE-2026-15028 1 Redhat 4 Cost Management On Premise, Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird and 1 more 2026-10-09 3.9 Low
A flaw was found in libarchive. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to trigger a heap overflow by providing a specially crafted tar archive. The issue occurs during the parsing of a PAX extended header containing a malformed SUN.holesdata sparse-file attribute. Successful exploitation could lead to a denial of service, making the system unavailable, or potentially allow for arbitrary code execution, giving the attacker control over the affected system.
CVE-2026-74860 1 Redhat 7 Cert Manager, Cost Management On Premise, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2026-10-09 8.5 High
A flaw was found in libxml2 with Python bindings enabled. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted XML document containing a Document Type Definition (DTD) with enumerated attribute values. This triggers a double-free error in the SAX attributeDecl callback handler, where a string is freed twice. This flaw can lead to a denial of service (DoS) due to a reproducible crash in Python applications using the libxml2 SAX bindings.
CVE-2026-13732 1 Redhat 4 Cost Management On Premise, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 1 more 2026-10-09 7 High
A flaw was found in GDB's STABS debug format parser. The read_member_functions() function in gdb/stabsread.c contains a linked list removal bug in the code that separates destructor and non-destructor member functions of C++ classes. The bug causes the destructor entries to remain in the main function list while the list length counter is decremented, resulting in an out-of-bounds write when the function list is copied to its final allocated array. An attacker can craft an ELF binary with malicious .stab and .stabstr sections that triggers this out-of-bounds write when a user opens the file in GDB and performs any symbol-inspection operation such as setting a breakpoint. The inferior process does not need to be executed. Under controlled conditions, this was demonstrated to achieve execution of arbitrary commands within the GDB process.
CVE-2026-87853 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A flaw was found in SSSD's IdP authentication provider. The eval_access_token_buf() function compares the OIDC subject identifier using strncmp() with the authenticated user's identifier length, performing a prefix comparison instead of an exact match. An attacker whose IdP identifier is a strict prefix of a target user's identifier can authenticate as the target user.
